Our Salsiccia piccante have a spicy flavour given by chilly peppers. Additionally, our producer Atilio uses fennel seeds to give the sausage an additional special taste. This pork sausage its typical of the Southern parts of Italy.

Attilio is a young entrepreneur who took over the family’s butcher shop Macellaria Fornelli from his father. Located in the small village Montemilone, most of the younger generation emigrated away for lack of opportunities.
Attilio decided to stay and make his dreams come true. He specialises in the traditional “Lucanica” sausage. This is a “Basilicata” speciality and the recipe’s roots trace back to the Roman empire, 200 BC.
